060: INTIMACY & SEXUALITY
Intimacy is not just something that happens in the bedroom. It’s a way of being…with yourself. Intimacy = “into-me-see.” A woman often doesn’t know how to express her sexuality because of the religious, cultural, and familial programming she’s received from her girlhood (often still being perpetuated in her mature adulthood). Melisa Keenan is a wife and mom of 4 who’s become an Intimacy Coach to help women embody intimacy as their natural state of being. She helps transform women and marriages into the deeply connected havens they were meant to be.
In this episode:
- How do religions perpetuate “bodies being evil” – fostering shame around feminine anatomy and function?
- Giving yourself the freedom to explore and understand your own body…why is this both empowering and confusing to many women?
- The women of today are survivors, with warrior spirits. We are so capable, yet we forget how to let down our walls and play; to soften and just be.
- You are worth being pursued, being desired and sought after. Start by pursuing yourself.
